To His glory alone
Raised by Christ
A testimony of being raised by Jesus Christ without adult human love — and the God who was more than enough.
"My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge."
— Psalm 71:15
I want to tell you the truth about how I got here. Not the polished version. Not the version that makes it sound like a clean arc from darkness to light. The actual truth — because I believe that the actual truth is what sets people free.
Since birth, I was without adult human love and acceptance. The people who were supposed to hold me did not hold me. The love that is supposed to be the first thing a human being knows — that love was not there.
And I grew up in that absence.
What Filled the Absence
Here is what I did not expect: the absence was not empty.
When I turned toward Jesus Christ — not as a concept, not as a religion, not as a set of rules — but as a Person, as the living Son of God who had promised to never leave and never forsake — He was there.
The Trinity was more than enough to raise me without much human intervention. The voice of the Holy Spirit became my native tongue. Not because I was especially spiritual or especially disciplined. Because I was desperate. Because there was no one else.
And in that desperation, I found that God is not a supplement to human love — He is the source of it. And when the human channels are closed, He can and does flow directly.
What Scripture Did
Scripture raised me. Not metaphorically. Practically.
The Word of God was the voice that told me who I was when no human voice was telling me. It was the standard I measured my life against when I had no other standard. It was the comfort I ran to when there was no human comfort available.
Psalm 91 told me I had a refuge. I believed it, and I ran there, and it held. Psalm 71 told me that God had been my trust from my youth — that He had taken me from my mother's womb. John 14 told me that the Holy Spirit would be with me and in me. I held onto that promise in the dark, and the dark did not win.
What I Learned About God
I learned that He is not a supplement. He is the foundation. He is the ground. He is the one who holds everything together — and when everything else is stripped away, He is still there, and He is still enough.
I learned that His love is not like human love. Human love is conditional, inconsistent, limited by the capacity and the wounds of the person giving it. God's love is none of those things. It does not run out. It does not depend on your performance. It does not leave when you are difficult to love.
I learned that prayer is not a religious exercise. It is a conversation with a Person who is actually present, actually listening, actually responding — not always in the way you expect, but always in a way that is true.
I learned that the Holy Spirit is not a doctrine. He is a companion. He is the one who walks with you through the places where no human can follow, who speaks into the silence, who intercedes when you do not have words.
What ACT Kingship Is
ACT Kingship is more than poetry. It is Spirit-filled, uplifting content — devotionals, testimony, and verse — rooted in the living Word of God and written from the inside of a life that has been sustained by it.
ACT stands for Authentic, Courage, Thunder. These are not marketing words. They are the three things God forged in me through the fire of a life lived without human shelter.
Authentic — because when you have nothing to perform for and no one to impress, you learn to be exactly who God made you. The mask falls away. What remains is real.
Courage — because every day of that life required it. Not the dramatic kind. The quiet kind. The kind that gets up again. The kind that trusts when there is no visible reason to trust.
Thunder — because the still small voice of God is not small in its effect. It shakes everything. It moves through you like a current through still water. You don't see it, but everything is different after.
Kingship — because we are sons and daughters of the King of Kings. Not in a triumphalist sense. In the deepest, most costly sense: we are His, and He is ours, and that changes everything about how we live.
A Word for the Weary
If you are reading this and you are tired — tired of trying, tired of hoping, tired of being let down by people and circumstances and your own best efforts — I want to say this directly to you:
You have not yet exhausted the one option that cannot fail.
He raised me. Without human hands, without human love, without the things that are supposed to be there — He raised me. And I am standing here, mouth full of His righteous acts, saying: He is enough.
All power, glory, praise and exaltation to Him — forever and ever.
